More hair pics

I've had a few days now to play with Anna's new hair style and I really like it with the ends curled under. Thankfully, if I dry it right away after washing, it curls under very easily. If it air drys just a little, it gets too curly and won't straighten. I've always loved the "bob" hairstyle and I think it looks super cute and is so much easier to care for!!!

Anna's New "Do"

Yesterday Anna had 4 inches cut off of her hair. I think it looks so cute but also makes her look older as well which is hard to swallow when it happens in a matter of 10 minutes. It's still got plenty of curl. I wasn't sure if the curl would go away once we cut off the ends but I think it's there to stay. She likes it and Daddy does too so that's a good thing. It looks much healthier and is much easier to comb...no more tangles and tears!! She got my difficult hair that curls more on one side so it doesn't look even but it is. Here she is the night before with her long curls. She loves to fold laundry...hope it sticks and she still loves to fold laundry when she's 15 and has to. :0)

The next American Idol

We've been letting Anna watch American Idol with us and last week, I caught her practicing her singing in front of her audience. Gotta love the stuffed animals and Audrey all lined up and her performing on her carpet square. She loves to sing!

Happy 1st Bday Audrey!

Miss Audrey had a great 1st Birthday! "Thank you" to all of you who sent birthday wishes, cards, gifts, and who celebrated with us. She really liked her cake and made a wonderful mess! Glad we stripped her down to her diaper. She wasn't quite sure why she was naked in her high chair with everyone watching but once she had cake in front of her she didn't seem to mind. She loved playing with the balloons. On Friday (her birthday) daddy, mommy, and Anna celebrated by letting her open her gifts from us. She's had fun playing with her new stroller and book; two of her favorite things. She looks so big in the rocking chair! On Saturday we celebrated with my family...can't wait to wear that Purdue shirt! She did well opening her gifts and like most little ones, loved the tissue paper the best. So thankful for the time we got to spend with family! We're looking forward to celebrating with Michael's family soon.

This little girl is getting so big!! Hard to believe she'll be 1 this coming Friday.

Enjoying the sunshine

We've been blessed with beautiful weather over the past 4 days. The temperature has gotten warmer each day so we've gone from wearing jackets to wearing shorts...in March! The girls have had fun playing on the swingset and in the cul-de-sac in front of our house. Audrey's not too sure about grass, definitely does not like having it on her hands, but she loves to push the tractor all over the place. She really likes to ride on it as well. Anna has been a big help swinging Audrey although she likes to give her "underdogs" when we're not looking and even twisted the baby swing up the other day and let it unwind to which Audrey thought was great and laughed at. I guess she likes to spin. So, now Anna can only push when I'm standing right beside her so that she doesn't try anymore tricks although Audrey hasn't seemed to mind. It's no wonder she's a tough little booger!

Around the house...

We love music and like to dance! We have an "advanced" trash truck here that has an arm on it that reaches out to pick up the trash can and pull it up and dump it in the top of the truck all by itself. The girls love to watch this. It's our excitement on Tuesdays, trash day. :0) The girls have really enjoyed playing in Anna's tent. Why is it kids like to give their mothers heart failure by playing on the stairs?! Had to break in the tub with lots of bubbles!!

God has blessed us with some beautiful sunsets this past week. He's an amazing artist! :)

Riding the Carousel

Audrey went for a ride on the carousel for the first time when we were staying with my parents. She loved it as you can see from the smile on her face and it's one of Anna's most favorite things to do as well. She talks about it almost daily.

Here's Miss Anna with her "kids". She's definitely got her hands full. Boz, Minnie Mouse, Mary and Julie have a very hands-on mommy. I love to hear her discipline them. :0)

Hello!

Both girls love cell phones. Anna talks to many people throughout the day and Audrey can be found walking around with hers or any other toy similar in size up to her ear as well saying "hella". I'm amazed at the things I hear Anna telling her "friends" that I've recently told someone on the phone. Quite funny!
